Privacy.

An email address, if you choose to join The Sunday Letter. The name, telephone number and message you write in the contact form, so that we can reply to you. And, if you register interest in a forthcoming piece, the email address, name and category you give us.

If you open an account, we also hold the details you enter there: first and last name, email address, telephone number, any delivery addresses you save, and your communication preferences. Should the shop open and you make a purchase, your order history will be held against that account.

We do not ask for anything else, and we do not buy information about you from anyone.

Accounts are handled by our hosting platform's authentication service. Passwords are set and verified there; Bellourne never sees or stores your password, and no password is held in readable form.

Your account information is readable only by you when signed in. Access rules are enforced on the server, not merely in the browser.

Bellourne does not currently take payments online. If and when it does, card details will be handled entirely by a regulated payment provider. Bellourne will never hold a complete card number; at most, a masked reference such as the card type and last four digits will be shown to you.

Registering interest is not a purchase, a reservation, or a guarantee that a piece will be produced or made available to you. It is a note that we may write to you about it.

To send you the letter you asked for, to answer the letter you sent us, to hold your account and, where relevant, to fulfil an order. Nothing more.

Your address is never shared with advertisers, partners or brokers. Bellourne carries no advertising.

Subscription details are held until you leave the letter with one click, at the foot of every issue. Correspondence is kept only as long as the conversation is useful, and then deleted.

You may delete your account at any time from Your Bellourne, under Security and privacy. Deletion is permanent: your profile, addresses and preferences are removed and you can no longer sign in. Where the law requires a record of a transaction to be retained, that record is kept for the required period and used for nothing else.

We look at anonymous, aggregate readership: which stories are read, on what kind of device. It is not tied to you as an individual and it is not used to profile or retarget anyone.

You may ask us what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact page and we will act within thirty days.
